How to play poker responsibly

If you want to play poker, here are some tips that will help you turn this experience into a pleasant one and with which you can minimize the risk of future problems:

Play for fun, not to make money.
Play using money you can afford to lose. Never use the money you need, such as money for food, rent, invoices or school fees.
Establish and respect exactly the amounts of money you can afford at that time and make sure you never play more than you can afford to lose.
Never try to recover a loss. If you lost a certain amount of money, do not play at higher stakes in an attempt to recover a previous loss.
Do not play when you’re upset, tired or depressed. It’s very hard to make the right decisions when you’re not feeling well.
Merge the game with other activities. Find other forms of fun so that the game does not become too important in your life.
